the gate together it a metal piece that doesn't interlock together. Therefore when heavy force is beared against it the gate doesn't hold up well. i like the gate for unfortunately didn't work out for me.

not an expanding pressure type that would not work in my application. This model had hardware to screw into the wall and resulted in a solid installation to keep a new puppy contained into two rooms instead of the entire house.
